There is plenty going on throughout the year. Here is what we have coming up:
The Rusty Mikes are our very own tennis club band featuring Nathan Brown, John Shipp, Dave Roderick and Mike Roberts. They will be playing at the Flying Monk Tavern from 8pm on Sat 30th March. Do come and support them – it should be lots of fun!
A fun social mixed doubles tournament – partners are allocated for the first round which you play with and then against your partner. Individuals keep their own scores.
Open to all full time, country members and students
Entry fee £4
Bring a plate of food for sharing
Any queries to the organiser – Ben Elliott 07508363186
Entry form is on the clubroom noticeboard.
Please come and help – many hands make light work!
Tasks will include tidying around the edges of the courts, cutting back vegetation behind the courts, spring cleaning the club room, etc
At the end the club provides a round of drinks for volunteers.
The tennis section will be offering free taster sessions for adults and children.
We hope they enjoy playing and may want to join.
We need volunteers to play tennis with visitors and tell them about the club.
We also need your old tennis racquets to lend to the visitors.
Please contact Helen if you can help at all.
